thoughts for people encountering today's wilderness.
Even though Moses spent some time in the wilderness herding sheep, he didn't know the wilderness the way his brother-in-law, Hobab, did. In fact, for Moses, the wilderness was pretty unknown. So, the guy known as the extraordinary leader, Moses, asked the ordinary guy, Hobab to help him out. Moses said to Hobab, "Please do not leave us. You know where we should camp in the desert, and you can be our eyes." From what the Bible tells us, Hobab went along. He didn't head home though that was his intention. Instead, he became Moses' eyes. His reward was Moses' promise that, "If you come with us, we will share with you whatever good things the LORD gives us."
This blog is a place where some ordinary folks want to reflect some ordinary thoughts from their ordinary lives to help you think about and navigate the wilderness you're encountering today. Along the way, if you discover some good things that the LORD gives you, don't hesitate to share them with us. It's the only reward we're looking for.
